Hearing Loss Predictions

Hearing loss prediction is the process of forecasting an individual’s likelihood of experiencing hearing loss in the future. There are several factors that can contribute to an individual’s risk of developing hearing loss, including age, genetics, exposure to loud noises, and certain medical conditions. By understanding these risk factors and identifying early signs of hearing loss, individuals can take steps to protect their hearing and prevent further deterioration. Communikare is a Multi Rehab Clinic and Hearing Aid Center that helps individuals understand and manage their hearing health by providing resources, tools, and support for those with hearing loss or at risk of developing hearing loss.

New Born Hearing Loss Testing

Age, health history, and everyday noise exposure all factor into the determination of hearing impairment. It is a method for identifying what affects your hearing and is a fantastic aid in planning an optimal therapy.

The majority of infants are checked for hearing before leaving the hospital. At the
Communikare hearing aid center, offer follow-up testing for newborns who were unable to be tested or who did not pass the initial screening. Otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) or auditory brainstem response testing is performed (ABR). These tests are suitable for infants and other individuals who will not respond to a conventional hearing test.

Pediatric Hearing Loss Testing

In addition to the neonatal hearing tests listed above, there are additional tests used to evaluate children’s hearing, such as conditioned play and visual reinforcement audiometry. The evaluation at the Communikare hearing aid center is tailored to the patient’s age and level of development.
